Griswold cast iron skillet with heat ring and finger handle. Botton of skillet reads: GRISWOLD in large block logo, CAST IRON SKILLET, 12, ERIE PA., U.S.A., 719. Skillet has the number 12 on the handle. CIRCA: 1920s. The griddle's cooking surface is impressively smooth and non-grainy with no damaging utensil marks, pitting, or rusting. The surface reveals a series of concentric circles from the manufacturing process and surely a positive indication that this item was very minimally used. The griddle rests flat with no warping or wobbling. It has the traditional flared outer rim to prevent grease from running over the sides. This item measures 7 3/4" in diameter across the top by 8" in diameter across the bottom by 11 3/4" across to include the handle. A practical cookware collectible that will display beautifully on a wall when not in use. Perfectly sized for grilled sandwiches, sausages, and sunny-side or over-easy eggs! |
